BoxStand
An armor stand GUI with mannequin models, preset poses, balloons and backpacks. Players do everything from one menu, without learning commands.

Who it is for
- Shops: a mannequin wearing what is for sale, instead of a row of item frames.
- Survival: players dress a stand, pick a pose, and turn each limb with the scroll wheel.
- Builds and events: statues and shopkeepers, locked so nobody moves them.
Every button can be put behind a permission.
Features
Armor stand GUI
Visibility, gravity, arms, base plate, lock and posing, all in one menu.
Mannequins
Replace a stand's look with a ModelEngine model. Comes with 3 kinds and 9 models, and you can add your own with one file.
Preset poses
Poses made as animations, picked from a pose page. Players can still adjust them by hand.
Custom posing
Turn each body part with the scroll wheel or WASD. Copy poses from one stand to another.
Balloons
An item, a live mob or a ModelEngine model floating on a lead.
Backpacks
An item worn on the stand's back that follows the body pose.
Locking
A locked stand can't be broken, and its items can't be taken by clicking it.
Item plugin icons
Ready icons and menu pictures for ItemsAdder, Nexo, Oraxen and CraftEngine, with vanilla items as the fallback.
Requirements
| Plugin | Required | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Paper 1.21.3+ | Yes | The server software |
| PacketEvents 2.7+ | Yes | Shows BoxStand's extras to each player, see below |
| ModelEngine R4.1+ | No | Mannequins and model balloons |
| ItemsAdder, Nexo, Oraxen or CraftEngine | No | Custom icons and menu pictures |
BoxStand won't start without PacketEvents. It is free: download PacketEvents.
Drawn per viewer
Backpacks, balloons, leads, the pose outline and the glow on hidden stands are sent straight to the players who should see them. None of them adds an entity to the world.
| What that means for your server | |
|---|---|
| Entity count | Doesn't go up, however much a stand wears |
| Other plugins and mobs | Can't see, hit, move or delete these extras |
| Clear-lag plugins | Have nothing to remove |
| Arms past the hitbox | Can still be clicked |
| Bedrock players | See the pose held still, so armour stays on the model |
